Destiny 2 Witch Queen puzzle fancy hints at long promised locating
Bungie revealed a teaser trope from their upcoming Destiny 2 expanding upon, Witch Queen, in their latest blog put up.
In Bungie's latest This Week At Bungie , a picture from the heatedly awaited expansion was slotted in right at the end of the post. Nary further context was provided with the image, leaving players to scour any details and take what they could from it.
The image shows what looks to be a Hunter in some pretty dark and drab apparel. That would ecstasy along with the expected timbre of the enlargement which is set to glucinium very Hive- and Taken-focused. The Witch Queen refers to the long-teased antagonist Savathun, Sister of the former Taken Top executive. The spooky vibration should be fertile.
Nonetheless, mayhap more interesting than the focus of the image is the location. The Hunter send away be seen in a swampy country with what looks to be derelict cars. This is reproducible with the long-rumoured 'Yellow Chicago' region in Destiny.
While IT ne'er appeared in the first game, Old Newmarket has been a location in the domain of Fate since before the first unfit came out. Like Europa, which free with On the far side Light, concept art of the location existed before equal the release of Destiny 1. Information technology was however eventually cut from the biz and has single appeared in lore tabs since.
Non overmuch is known around the surface area, but it has been mentioned sparsely. It is, for instance, where the exotic weapon Graviton Lance was found. Essentially, whatever is going on in Old Chicago, it's nothing good. It is of course possible this is another location entirely, or that this image doesn't tell the whole story, but at the very least, Bungie appears to follow acting into fan expectations here.
Witch Queen is sadly still a while off. While the enlargement was meant to release at the end of this twelvemonth, it has been pushed back into azoic 2022. This means that Guardians wish have to be patient to finally have their dance with the long-excited Savathun. Thankfully, news hopefully won't represent too out-of-the-way departed, as it was also mentioned in This Week at Bungie that we'd be finding extinct more about Destiny's future "later in the summer".
Bungie wants to bring Portion to "additional media," and so we could eventide see a TV show.
